* This is an average representative rate. A simulation is not binding: a broker from the office will call you back as soon as possible with a comparison in figures. Indicative annual percentage rate, subject to acceptance. A loan is a commitment and must be repaid. Be aware: borrowing money also costs money.

What this loan covers
- Building work and fittings
- Energy saving
What work does a renovation loan finance?
The renovation loan is an instalment loan intended for fitting-out or improvement work on a property: kitchen, bathroom, roofing, extension, insulation, replacing the heating system or installing solar panels.
As with car finance, you make a fixed monthly repayment over a term chosen at the outset.
Why a different rate for energy-saving work?
Lenders apply a lower rate to work that improves a home's energy performance: roof or wall insulation, window replacement, more efficient heating, solar panels. The simulator on this page automatically applies the correct rate table according to the type of work chosen.
Beyond the loan rate, regional grants exist for this type of work depending on the region where the property is located. We do not calculate them here, but we can point you towards the relevant regional authority to check what you are entitled to before starting the work.
Instalment loan or mortgage for major work?
For small jobs, an instalment loan is enough and is released more quickly. For a major renovation or an extension that goes well beyond the ceiling of the renovation loan, a mortgage or a top-up to an existing loan can work out cheaper thanks to a longer term.
We look at both options with you before submitting a request, based on the actual amount of the quotes you already have in hand.
Protecting a building site in progress
If the work affects the structure of the property, your existing home insurance policy may need to be adjusted for the duration of the work. Check this point with your insurer before starting, especially for an extension or an open roof.
Applying for a renovation loan
The simulation on this page gives an indicative monthly repayment based on the amount and term chosen, with no commitment or supporting documents required at this stage. A broker then takes on your file and presents it to the lender best suited to the nature of your work.
- Transparency at the heart of our commitment!
- Your monthly repayment, your borrowing rate and your APR are shown before you leave any details behind. Your contact information comes after, if you want to take things further.
- We compare, you choose!
- A bank offers you its own loans. We work with ten lenders: we compare their terms for your file and show you who accepts it, and on what terms.
- One point of contact through to signing!
- The same person looks after your case from the first call to the signing. They explain every condition before you sign.

Merci encore!

Your questions
Why a different rate for energy-saving work?
Lenders apply a lower rate to work that improves a home's energy performance: insulation, heating, solar panels. The simulator shows you both rate tables.
Renovation: instalment loan or mortgage?
For major work, a mortgage or a top-up to your existing loan can work out cheaper. We look at both options with you.
Does a simulation commit me to anything?
No. It commits you to nothing, remains confidential and does not affect your record at the National Bank. You can run as many as you like.
How much does using a broker cost?
We are paid by the lenders and insurance companies, in the form of commissions, not by you. The details are given to you before signing.
What happens after I submit my request?
A broker will call you back as soon as possible. They will pick up your simulation, present your case to the lenders and show you who accepts it, and on what terms.
